My wisdom teeth were removed without incident last Friday. Turns out I had nothing to worry about.
On the advice of my best friend, I took one of the prescribed Hydrocodone twice each of the first two days, and I took only one the next two days. It wasn’t constantly painful and didn’t swell too much, it just hurt to open my mouth wide. And talking made my face feel very tired.
The biggest struggle for me was how tired I felt in general. On both Monday and Wednesday I came home from work and immediately fell asleep. On Monday I waited until after dinner and ended up with about 12 hours of sleep. Last night, I skipped dinner altogether and got 14 hours of sleep. I’m not sure if it was because of the anesthesia somehow, or because of the wounds now healing in my mouth, but I was exhausted.
Today I felt great and I hope I will continue to.
